Inform your doctor if you are allergic or have experienced any kind of allergy to any drug, if you have diabetes, if you have recently experienced a heart attack, if you have the gout, kidney, liver or pancreas diseases, hearing loss, lupus erythematosus, sugar and salt intake restriction.

Inform your doctor if you are taking any drugs, including aspirin, herbs, vitamins and other drugs. Consult your doctor and make sure that you drink sufficient liquid. As Furosemide is a very strong diuretic, there is a certain risk of body dehydration.

Try to avoid unnecessary exposure to sunlight. If during taking Furosemide you had a rash, you have to call in the doctor. Taking Furosemide can increase your sunbeams sensitivity.

Furosemide can make you feel slight dizziness, faintness or nausea standing up after sitting or lying down. At standing from a bed you are rather first slowly put your feet on the floor and stay in such position for some minutes; then accurately stand up. At standing after sitting you should slowly stand up and stay near the chair for a while till you are sure that you do not feel dizziness.

If you are going to have surgical intervention, including dental treatment, tell the doctor that you are taking Furosemide.

Do not take any other drugs without having consulted your doctor, especially anorectic drugs available over the counter (drugs depressing appetite), and also drugs therapy for asthma, cold, and cough.

Furosemide can worsen your body ability to tolerate higher temperatures, consequently increasing heatstroke risk. If you live along, ask someone to visit you several times a day. Heatstroke symptoms are dizziness, weakness and slightly raised body temperature. If you experience any of these symptoms, you have to call a doctor.

You should drink more liquids (waters, fruit and vegetable juice), than usually, even if you are not thirsty, except for that case when your physician does not recommend it to do. You should avoid any alcoholic drinks.

Take Furosemide with a meal or milk to avoid stomach irritation. You can mix Furosemide with a meal or a drink.

If you take Furosemide more than once a day, try to take the last dose up to 6pm. If you have missed a dose of Furosemide, you should take it as soon as possible, however if it is nearly time for your next dose of taking Furosemide just skip your missed dose of Furosemide. Do not take double dose of Furosemide.

Keep Furosemide drug from freezing.

Never store Furosemide drug in the bathroom. Keep away from sources of heats, moisture or keep out of direct sunlight. Immediately call the doctor if you experience: mouth dryness, strong thirst, heart rhythm disturbance, a sudden change in mood, spasms or muscle pain, severe abdominal pain with nausea or vomiting, unusual fatigue or weakness, a low pulse, xanthopsia (greenish-yellow veil in your eyes), cough or hoarseness, high temperature or a fever, pains in the joints, low back pain or side back pain, painful urination, small red dots on the skin, noise in ears or hearing loss, rash or nettle rush, unusual bleedings or bruises, yellow eyes or yellow skin.

During pregnancy taking Furosemide is allowed only in emergency cases with special care. Before taking Furosemide you have to inform the doctor if you are pregnant or you have any suspicion that you may be pregnant.
